Description
A Betty Albee Intensive
Class Instruction in Metaphysical Science
Over five days, October 24-28, 2022
Five days, Oct. 24-28, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. in class, followed each afternoon by homework and individual study. For eligibility, applicants are expected to have studied Metaphysical Science for a minimum of two years. The primary text for this class, which has never been given before in this five-day format, is We Are the World We Walk Through, by Margaret Laird. Participants are also expected to have read two chapters, prior to the start of the class, in Science and Health With Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy — Chapter 10 (“Science of Being”) and Chapter 14 (“Recapitulation”). In addition to Science and Health, students should bring a copy of Eddy’s Prose Works with them to class sessions. They may also want to have a dictionary and concordance with them for their afternoon study sessions. The La Jolla, Calif., location for the class will be sent to applicants upon acceptance. (See application details below.) Tuition $750.
Information about hotels and B&Bs is being pulled together for possible students. B&Bs in nearby Pacific Beach may offer lodging at comparable or possibly lower rates than hotels in La Jolla. We are checking whether some B&B’s within walking distance to restaurants and the beach could accommodate a pair or a group of students, if they so desire. Our research so far indicates room rates will likely range from $300 to $1,300 nightly. Lower rates may be available farther away from La Jolla. Students should plan to arrive Sunday, Oct. 23, and can depart on the following Friday evening or Saturday, if desired.
