About The Author - Ann Johnstone

Ann is an author, poet, teacher, speaker, and spiritual coach who is active in the practice of Scientific Metaphysics. She has lectured widely on Rumi, the 13th century Persian poet and Sufi mystic, on interpersonal communications, and on Scientific Metaphysics. She is the author of four books:

  • The Power of Concept-Free Thinking and the Art of the Boggle Link to IMS Store
  • This Immanent Field Beyond  Link to IMS Store
  • I Need You When I Need You by Myself an anthology of poems (Family Life Publications) which remained on Canada’s bestsellers list for ten years
  • The Park in the Dark, a fun read for children

Music has been a constant in Ann’s life. When she was growing up, she performed plays with her sister and sang. She then became a vocalist with a jazz group.

Her path to Scientific Metaphysics began when her mother discovered Christian Science. “My father didn’t want it in the house,” Ann says. While two of Ann’s older sisters embraced Christian Science wholeheartedly, Ann never joined a church. She discovered Margaret Laird through her sister, Lynn Reid. Ann remembers Lynn saying of the appearance world, “This is Spirit.”

In October of 2020, Ann moved from the island of Vancouver, Canada to Alberta, Canada, which has serious winter weather and is full of aspiring Olympic athletes.
